    Operations Manager Agenda:


    Establishes an environment and foundation aimed at future sales growth, evaluates and  assesses market trends and uses this information to enhance sales and service.  Executes the vision for the region, develops and adheres to a business plan to attain this vision, maintains accurate forecasting and clear management communication.  Candidate must be able to provide leadership, direction, and goals for multiple branches within the region.  Responsible for client satisfaction, company profitability, oversight and management of daily operations of multiple branches.  Creates plans and directs strategies to improve efficiency of current operational systems and reduce operating cost for profit optimization.  Interacts with  upper management and owners on the ongoing bases.     Responsible for ensuring complete customer ""delight"" and specifically as it pertains to quality, responsiveness, communications, proactiveness and value for an assigned geographic area. The Operations Manager possesses and utilizes the strength, character and leadership skills necessary to inspire fellow employees to strive for top quality and efficient performance.


    • In charge of ensuring field operations are profitable and work is satisfactory to customer. Responsible for supervising the activities of Account Managers & Specialists in assigned area.
    • Work well with others in a team environment and is helpful and courteous to customers.
    • Review quality standards, make recommendations, and assist in correcting deficiencies.
    • Coordinate with the Sales Representatives the promotion and solicitation of new work.
    • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating potential management trainees.
    • Conduct evaluations of Account Managers and Specialists under his/her direction.
    • Train personnel in efficient time management, on and off the job. Able to pass the requirements of Account Manager.
    • Assign and coordinate maintenance personnel to perform Construction Establishment maintenance. Ensure all maintenance operations such as pre-emergent weed control, inspections and reports, and final acceptance are timely. Budgets will be reviewed for comparison of estimate and actual production along with recommendations for future bidding.
    • Responsible for collection of delinquent receivables over 60 days as described in the collection procedure.
    • Account information: Responsible for coordination, follow up and timely presentation necessary to sell, maintain or service accounts. Information is to be obtained through the use of established company sales interview techniques.

    • Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees and your manager.
    • Must be able to read and write English.
    • Must possess a valid California drivers’ license with a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance carrier.
    • Bachelor's degree in the Agricultural Sciences or 30 semester units of agricultural related courses and two years technical experience or equivalent field experience and customer communication skills.
